Joes Lose First Game of the Series to Clippers, 12-6

Joes Drop Three in a row, 12-6


Joes traveled to Muskegon, Michigan, to play the Muskegon Clippers in a three-game set. It's a two-day set with a doubleheader coming tomorrow; the first game starts at 4:35 pm. 


The Clippers' runs came early with a three-run home run for Caden Thelen in the first inning against Joe’s starting pitcher, Dean Brown. Joes would battle back with a two-run double from AJ Beggs in the top of the second inning. 


The Clippers would have a huge inning in the third with a total of eight runs scored. It would start with an RBI double from Dalton Dick. AJ Park would double to score another two runs. Kaden Howard would walk with the bases loaded to bring in another run. Cade Thelen would hit a double to clear the bases and would score on a single from Dalton Dick to finish the inning to lead 11-2.


Joes would try to fight back in the next couple of innings as Parker Falkenstein scored on a wild pitch and walked in a run the following inning. Eric Fleetwood would have an RBI groundout, and Ryder Kirtley would have an RBI single to make the score 11-6 going into the seventh inning. 


The Clippers would score one more run with a home run from Cade Thelen to finish the scoring at 12-6. Joes will try to rally back tomorrow in the doubleheader with an opportunity to still take the series. The first game starts at 4:35 pm, and the second game will start at approximately 6:35 on FloCollege.
